
Mayra Cordova, PA-C
Mayra is a Texas native, born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Brownsville in 2010. After completing her undergraduate studies Mayra was accepted to UT Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, and graduated with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2014.
Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Prior to her career as a physician assistant, Mayra completed a research internship at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, focusing on health-related problems resulting from long term space missions. Her career in medicine then took her to Laredo, TX where she practiced internal medicine before transitioning into sports medicine, in which she treated a wide array of sports-related injuries and developed a passion for the field of orthopedics.
Mayra is new to Austin and is excited to be a part of the local medical community. She is a dog lover and enjoys community outreach, running, yoga, and traveling.
