Doctor of Physical Therapy, DPT
Jimmie Flythe Jr. has been a practicing physical therapist for over 20 years. He was trained at University of Maryland Eastern Shore for his Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy graduating in 1995 and two years ago completed the doctoral degree in physical therapy at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.
Dr. Flythe has practiced in various settings in physical therapy from acute care hospital work to home health care. However, his heart has always been with outpatient physical therapy orthopedics.
He completed an Orthopedic Residency Series at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. In addition, he has also completed courses in spinal manipulation with the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy. The next plan of clinical education will be directed towards the Ola Grimsby Institute for certification in manual therapy.
Dr. Flythe has owned and managed physical therapy and multidisciplinary clinics; therefore, he has some experience in knowing what needs to be done to make patient the absolute focus in our ever-competitive market. He is always thinking, “What else can I/we do for our patients that we are serving?” If the patient is not happy he is not happy. Dr. Flythe prides his work on treating patient’s ‘like your family’ following the tradition that was taught at his original alma mater and has never left his practice doctrine.
Lastly, Dr. Flythe works with aspiring students that are interested in pursuing careers with the American Academy of Physical Therapy (AAPT). As serving as a former Vice President for the AAPT he takes helping future therapists seriously. Lastly, Dr. Flythe is a family man with a beautiful loving wife and two daughters ages of 7 and 12 in the Dallas Fort-Worth area.
