Tendonitis

The biceps muscles in the front of the upper arm has two tendons that attach to the bones in the shoulder. Biceps tendonitis is inflammation of the tendon, which becomes red, swollen, and enlarged. Tennis elbow is an inflammation of the tendons that join the forearm muscles on the outside of the elbow. Tendons become damaged from overuse, or repeating the same motion. Symptoms include pain, tenderness and weakness in the affected area. While each of these conditions has different causes, the symptoms are often the same: pain, swelling, and stiffness. Although there is no cure for arthritis, there are many treatment options available to help manage pain and keep people active.
